I Love Oregon Wine Blog

I visited the winery/tasting room in McMinnville and was very impressed. I have customers who have been asking for these wines quite a bit, and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. The tasting room employee was young and engaging and surprisingly well-versed for someone who has worked there all of two weeks.
The 2003 Shea Vineyard Pinot Noir received 91 points from Wine Advocate. But my palate found the 2002 Temperance Hill Pinot Noir much more stunning. Rich, earthy, dark fruit, smoky; this was my top choice here. Only 400 cases were made.
I bought a selection of wines which their marketing director, just returned from running, kindly hauled to my car. The winery dog escaped during our exit. These wines were so good that I hadn't noticed the dog.
