Encouraging the enjoyment of life's little pleasures, The Wine Place promotes local vineyards with complimentary wine tasting every Saturday as well as frequent, informal opportunities to meet and mingle with Oregon winemakers. For a list of tasting events, click here. As a satellite tasting room for J. Scott Cellars of Eugene, tasting of J. Scott wines is available daily (except on event days). There is a rotating selection of 4-5 wines to try. The $5 tasting fee is refundable with purchase of any of the 11 J. Scott wines available. Winemaker Jonathan Scott Oberlander uses the loft tasting room when he is in town. The Wine Place also offers wine-by-the-glass with indoor and outdoor seating. Fresh bread and baked goods are made in house, along with hummus, fruit/cheese plates and other wine-friendly food. In addition, The Wine Place occasionally hosts guided tasting and special events. These entertaining and informative events include wine tasting, appetizers, and informal conversation about winemaking and food pairings. A private tasting for your group of 8 or more can be arranged. The adjacent gallery is home to 21 local talented artists. It is open during shop hours. Owned and operated by Carrie Yano, The Wine Place is located under the same roof as Gourmet Lady, offering many gourmet and specialty food items. The website of gourmet products is Gourmet Lady. OPEN HOURS: We are open Thursday through Sunday, 11-5 or longer, and on Mon-Tues-Wed we are open by chance. We never leave early, and often stay late. When surrounded by good wine and fun people, sometimes it is difficult to leave. |
